REVIEW :Take back the Skies by Lucy Saxon

Synopsis

Catherine Hunter is the daughter of a senior government official on the island of Anglya. She’s one of the privileged – she has luxurious clothes, plenty to eat, and is protected from the Collections which have ravaged families throughout the land. But Catherine longs to escape the confines of her life, before her dad can marry her off to a government brat and trap her forever.

So Catherine becomes Cat, pretends to be a kid escaping the Collections, and stows away on the skyship Stormdancer. As they leave Anglya behind and brave the storms that fill the skies around the islands of Tellus, Cat’s world becomes more turbulent than she could ever have imagined, and dangerous secrets unravel her old life once and for all . . .

Review

This book was great. It wasn't one of my favourites but an enjoyable and fast-pasted read and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. And I think that Lucy Saxon is a talented new author!

Cat was a great character and she knew for what she was standing even if it's against her own father.
Fox was a lovely man. I liked him from the moment Cat met him and the realtion between him and Cat was so wonderful.
And the whole Stormdancer crew was awesome. They were, as it was said in the book, a family and a family holds together.

The whole concept of the book was great aswell. And when you know it was created by a then 16 year old girl you are just stunned. There were of course some scenes I didn't like that much but that's with every book.
I manly loved the scenes just with Fox and Cat :D

And the world aswell was unique even though this rebelion thing is in most fantasy (I think it's the genre of this book) books I've read so far.

And the cover ! It's absolutly stunning *-*

The only thing what I really did not like was the ending. I sobbed ! And I do that normally never !
I don't know how an author can do that...!

I gave this book

Want to know why I sobbed? Then go and read the book! (:
If you have read it, did you like it or not, and why?
