DISCUSSION: Owning multiple copies of a book

Hey guys!

Owning three copies of one of my favourite books Heir of Fire always gets me strange looks from people, no matter if they're friends, family or complete strangers.

I don't know how you think about it but I seriously don't care if I own multiple copies of my favorites even though I can understand that people find it weird or dumb but I think every book lover and collector can understand why his fellows do it.

I mean, I have reasons why I own three copies of Heir of Fire: The first I pre-ordered and read the minute it arrived in my mail. The second I knew I'd buy when I was in London because I heard that in the Waterstone's edition is some bonus content. But the third was a surprise because when I went into the Hatchard's with a friend I didn't know there would be a signed copy, and me being the book lover I am of course had to buy it.

And I don't care if I get the looks because I am happy about it!

And another example is that I really want to get the new editions of The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare which were recently released even though I already own all the books in the beautiful hardcovers but these books are firstly some of my all time favourites and secondly are absolutely stunningly beautiful, especially the spines *o*
But my mom cannot understand that I have to have those.

I know they are ridiculously expensive, well the TMI set.. the TID one actually is pretty appropriate, but anyways: I don't mind. Of course I won't buy the two box sets at once and tomorrow but at one point in the next couple of months when I have the money to do so I will.

So concluding, I personally have no problem with me or other people owning multiple copies of a book, especially if they have reasons to do so, even though some reasons probably do sound stupid to people who cannot understand it.

I hope you liked this discussion/rambling of mine (:

TAG : Fall Time Cozy Time

Hey guys!

Themed to our dear current season I will do this cozy looking tag today which was originally created by Novels & Nonsense over on booktube and I was inspired to do it by Anna (:

So let's start!

1. Crunching Leaves - The world is full of colour:
Choose a book that has reds/oranges/yellows on the cover.

The first book that comes to my mind is The Pirate's Wish by Cassandra Rose Clarke. I haven't started this series yet but this cover screams literally autumn to me even!

2. Cozy Sweater - It's finally cold enough to wear warm cozy clothing:
What book gives you the warm fuzzies?

Thinking about that it is really hard to come up with an answer because I cannot really think about such a book to be honest. But the one that could get close enough would be Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi because this was the book that got me into English literature and as well one of the first books I ever have read in English.

3. Fall Storm - The wind is howling & the rain is pounding:
Choose your favourite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day.

For this I would either choose fantasy because it gives me a comfy feeling to read such a book while hearing the rain drops outside on my window (:

4. Cool Crisp Air:
What's the coolest character you would like to trade places with?

If you would take it aside that most of the strong female characters I know have to face a lot and sometimes have a hard life, I probably would like to be either Celeana from ToG or Katy from Lux because even though both are different types of protagonists they're both very strong-willed and want to fight to achieve their goals.

5. Hot Apple Cinder:
What under-hyped do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

Take back the Skies by Lucy Saxon! It is a great steampunk novel with spaceships & kingdoms. A combination which goes together extremly amazing.

6. Coat, Scaves & Mittens - The weather has turned cold & it's time to cover up:
What's the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?

Definitely the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout! The old covers weren't the pretties but the new one are the most horrible onea I've ever seen! All that glitter and those half-faces. Just ugh.

7. Pumpkin Spice:
What is your favourite fall time comfort food/drink?

Tea! Even though I drink it all year around in the autumn it's the best (: And for food probably waffles or cake or something.. mostly because my birthday is in the season :D

That was it for today. Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to comment on today's question (:

T5W: Books you didn't finish

Hey guys!

Today's another Top 5 Wednesday with a topic I actually cannot bring up more than one book I didn't finish because I just didn't want to continue reading, so regarding books 2-5 are ones I stopped half way and don't know why. Well.. Actually it was because of an immense reading slump but yes.

So let's start!

1. Allegiant by Veronica Roth

I got spoiled the time I was 150 pages into it and stopped there because of the spoiler but as well because I didn't really enjoy it. And NO: I won't pick it up again.

2. Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

I don't even know why I stopped! It was soo amazing. But I definitely will pick it up again!

3. Fire&Flood by Victoria Scott

Another really great book. The story was very captivating but I just couldn't get myself to read any further than the first half because of my slump...

4. The Bane Chronicles by (mostly) Cassandra Clare

Okay. For this one I don't even have an excuse. I even read the first story of one of my favourite authors. But I like SO will be picking it up again!

5. Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan

The same as the one above. But as well the fact that I didn't really like Frank.. o:

Hope you enjoyed this quick post!

T5W: Favourite Series/Novellas

Hey guys!

Long time no see but I'm back and today I want to start with a simple Top 5 Wednesday post.

This week's topic is about our favourite books and I actually only thought of four (well okay maybe five but you could bind two together) immediatly so those are going to be shared :D

Oh, and btw: there's no particular order (:

1. Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

I'm not going to say I didn't enjoy the other two books Shatter Me and Unravel Me but Ignite Me is by far my favourite out of the three (not including the novellas) so I'm going with this one.

2. The Mortal Instruments & The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

I absolutely LOVE those two series! And if I had to choose my favourite books from them I would go with City of Heavenly Fire (even though City of Glass was for quite a while my fave) for TMI and with Clockwork Princess (no surprise :D) for TID. As well Cassandra Clare is an auto-buy author for me so I'm currently debating if I should buy those new editions of these books because they're so beautiful but I already own all of them in hardcover... I'll see (:

3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

If I think about fantasy I think about this series. It's awesome and Heir of Fire blew my mind. I'm even currently reading Queen of Shadows so maybe my fave will change. Okay. Probably it will :D So stay tuned for a review! (review of book 1)

4. Lux Series by Jennifer L. Armentrout

A great Sci-Fi series with an amazing BOOKLOVING protagonist! That's all for me to say about it because otherwise I would start rambeling and that I already did with Cassandra Clare's books. hehe :D (review of book 1)
