Synopsis
If you had a second chance at first love . . . would you take it?
It's been three years since Adam's love saved Mia after the accident that annihilated life as she knew it . . . and three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Julliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.
Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, powerful prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.

Review
This was one of these books which has a plot twist near the end and then it'll all be fine. Normally I don't like that because I mostly see those twists coming and than it hasn't this surprise effect but in this book it wasn't like that.
In the middle I was already satisfied even though a little bit sad but then came the twist and I was just like : Oh my gods! That was unexpected.
I liked the way that this book is from Adam's POV and that you can see how the rockstar life is harming him but then Mia's showing up and he becomes the Adam of before again. The one who loves music.
This whole band dipute and Adam with Bryn was a little bit blahh and I didn't like the way they interacted with Adam. But I liked Aldous. He was a nice guy (:
And the newspaper article at the end of the book was so great.
Over all I think Gayle Forman did a great job with both bookd and I don't know in particuilar which book of this duology I like best :D (If I stay review here)

What's your opinion on it ? (:

I really think Gayle Forman is a like her or hate her author. I've read Just One Day was well as If I Stay and wasn't too impressed with either of them. But I've heard good things a out where she went, so I guess we'll see!

Yes.. I know. But I like her books and her writing style even though I know many people who don't ..
DeleteI haven't read her just one day books and I don't if I should so well.. I'll see :D
When i first saw the cover I thought it was bella and eward from twilight !! Is it ? I suck at recognazing actors XD
ReplyDeleteI didn't like where she went as much ad i loved if i stay, but I'm totally in love with if i stay, so it wasn't really fair for where she went :)
haha :D omg. no ! that would be cheesy -.- And tbh I don't like this cover that much as I do like my movie cover inspirite one which I own :D
Deletei liked both of them, i feel that Adam was whiny in the beginning of the book and a little annoying, there was one part that creeped me out where he's saying what he would do if he saw her again. i'm just like ok that's disturbing.Other then that the book was good. i loved the songs he wrote.
ReplyDeletewell yeah. kind of he was but looking at the whole story it wasn#t that bad..
Deletehaha okay :D
me too! the songs were great ♥
