Most kids would do anything to pass the Iron Trial.
Not Callum Hunt. He wants to fail.
All his life, Call has been warned by his father to stay away from magic. If he succeeds at the Iron Trial and is admitted into the Magisterium, he is sure it can only mean bad things for him.
So he tries his best to do his worst - and fails at failing.
Now the Magisterium awaits him. It's a place that's both sensational and sinister, with dark ties to his past and a twisty path to his future.
The Iron Trial is just the beginning, for the biggest test is still to come . .
Review
The beginning I honestly found a bit weird mostly because of the throwback during the drive to the test but on the contrary I really loved the prologue.
I even found the test pretty funny but I can understand the feelings Call has even though he knows how it feels to be picked on it isn't like you adore it.
But I definaltely think the father is overreacting but in the end you know why but it is pretty dramatic anyway.
The Magisterium seems pretty cool. Even though the thing with like no windows and such would personally freak me out.
And as well the thought about all that magic going on is so overwhelmlingly cool I wish I would be able to do it! :D
I honestly like all of the characters, minus the bad ones but I especially love Master Rufus because he's so kind and carring even though you can't see it in the start.
And the friendship development between Aaron, Tamara and Callum is so sweet because they complete each other.
Oh! And Havoc is soo cute *-*
I just won't talk about the major mindblowing twist at the end because of spoilers but wtf!?
How.. ha.... NO WORDS!!!
How.. ha.... NO WORDS!!!
I cannot understand how an author can come up with such a thing ooooo:
The only thing I think is that it seems there's missing some kind of further information which could have helped you to understand the storyline better but other than that I don't see any other "problems" :D
But let me tell you one thing:
xo Anne
Being a huge fan of Cassandra Clare and Holly Black I don't understand how I still haven't read this book ahah SOON! Lovely review, I'm glad you loved it
