REVIEW : Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian

 Synopsis

Postcard-perfect Jar Island is the kind of place where nobody locks their doors at night, where parents can sleep easy, knowing their daughters are tucked away safe and sound in their beds.

But bad things can happen, even to good girls . . . and sometimes, the only way to make things right is to do something wrong.

Lillia used to trust boys, but not anymore. Not after what happened this summer. And she’ll do whatever it takes to protect her little sister from the same fate.

Kat is over the rumors, the insults, the cruel jokes made at her expense. It all goes back to one person--her ex-best friend. Someone needs to teach her a lesson, and, with Lillia and Mary behind her, Kat feels up to the task.

Four years ago, Mary left Jar Island because of a boy. But she’s not the same girl anymore. Now that she’s got friends who have her back, he's going to be in big trouble.

Three very different girls who come together to make things right. Will they go too far?

Review

This book really intrigued me and I was totally looking forward to read it and now I have (:
And I actually really enjoyed it. I think it's maybe not one of my favorites but it was well written and the story line was great.

I liked it how you can see the three girls seeing the same scene in the differnet point of views and I think it was really entertaining (:
The protagonists were great. I loved how their social lives were involved in each others.
I have no favorite of these three and I think each is in their way gorgeous.

The only thing I don't like is that cliff-hanger at the end !

But like I already said I enjoyed it but didn't love it as I love for example The Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare so I gave this book

Have you read it ?
If so, did you like it or not, and why ?

REVIEW : Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

 Synopsis

 Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something... unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is.

Review

Obsidian was a great book ! I love it so much and can't wait to read Onyx *-*

I liked Kate from the beginning and this not just because she loves books as I do but because she has a strong character and nobody, including Daemon, can say her what to do and what not.

Daemon is gorgeous and after reading those two scenes in his point of view I was just like : Holy crap !
He likes or better loves Kate but he knows he can't and so he's so damn sweet. How much I hate love which can't be..

His and Kate's relationship is so funny and cute that I had to laugh so hard while reading :D

And the story and the plots were really good too. But I won't tell anything because of spoilers.
But one thing : The spagetti scene was so great and Ash's reaction was just so funny :D

But yeah.. maybe you could guess that this book also got

My Wishlist #1

Hey guys!

Today I've got a new theme for you (:

Because I've got a gigantic wishlist of books I want to own and read, I thought I share it with you.
I think I'll do it weekly so every week a book of my wishlist :D

Okay.. so let's get started !
And just that you know : I pick randomly (:

 The Book

Synopsis

Time is slipping away....

Tella Holloway is losing it. Her brother is sick, and when a dozen doctors can't determine what's wrong, her parents decide to move to Montana for the fresh air. She's lost her friends, her parents are driving her crazy, her brother is dying—and she's helpless to change anything.

Until she receives mysterious instructions on how to become a Contender in the Brimstone Bleed. It's an epic race across jungle, desert, ocean, and mountain that could win her the prize she desperately desires: the Cure for her brother's illness. But all the Contenders are after the Cure for people they love, and there's no guarantee that Tella (or any of them) will survive the race.

The jungle is terrifying, the clock is ticking, and Tella knows she can't trust the allies she makes. And one big question emerges: Why have so many fallen sick in the first place?

This book really intrigues me and I've heard many good things about it.
So I do not really know why I haven't picked it up yet but I think it's because I have so many books on my shelf which I haven't read yet and I just want at first to finish all of these before I'm going to buy me new ones. Especially after my London Book Haul :D

So have you read this book ?
If so, did you like it or not ?

Let me know !
